On the occasion of the invitation from Universidad Complutense Madrid and IE University, Mr. Zhang Jiarui, the dean of the Faculty of International Studies, Mr. Lei Yang, the head of the Department of Spanish, and Li Qi, the foreign affairs officer, visited the two universities to discuss cooperation and exchange activities from September 22nd to September 23rd.

On September 22nd, our visiting delegation was warmly received by Ms. María del Rosario, the Vice President of Universidad Complutense Madrid, Mr. Juan Carlos, the International Project Promoter, and Ms. Isabel Durán, the Dean of the School of Literature. The two sides had a fruitful exchange of views on cooperation between the universities and reached a consensus on various forms of cooperation, such as student exchange programs (e.g., “3+1” or semester exchange program), mutual visits of teachers and students, as well as summer camp activities, etc.

While on September 23rd, Ms. Krystina Dos Santos, the director of Global Academic Cooperation and Development of IE University, and Ms. Irais Souto, the director of Global Marketing received our visiting delegation as well. Both sides introduced their own faculty’s background and engaged in in-depth discussions on areas and projects for potential cooperation. Meanwhile, both parties fully exchanged views on academic exchanges, teacher training, student visits and exchanges and other cooperation programs and potential directions for further collaboration, reaching a preliminary cooperation agreement.
